We were delighted to welcome three new Freemen to the Worshipful Company of Coopers at last evening’s Court Meeting. In time-honoured tradition the Ancient Oath was read with the new Freemen then signing the Declaration Book, following which the new members introduced themselves to the Court, before enjoying a champagne reception and three-course dinner in the Dining Room.
It was also a pleasure to welcome Anna Manning as a Liveryman. Anna was apprenticed to Pastmaster Roy Campbell before joining the Company as a Freeman through Servitude and subsequently gaining her Freedom of the City of London.
We were also joined by Army Cadets from 2 Company, City of London & NE Sector, Army Cadet Force who provided a splendid stair guard and are pictured with the Master, Clerk and Wardens of the Company.
If you would like an opportunity to see inside Coopers’ Hall, we will be open this Saturday 20th September from 10am – 4pm as part of the Open City Festival 2025. We will also be holding informal drinks on Wednesday 22nd October for anyone who might like to find out more about becoming a Cooper. Register here https://buytickets.at/cooperssociety/1787911
