Historic First for the Coopers' Cask Race
The Coopers’ Cask Race is set to make history this year as the Lady Mayor of the City of London, Dame Susan Langley, and the Mayoral Consort become the first-ever mayoral team to take part in the event.
Their participation marks a unique milestone in the race’s history, adding an exciting new chapter to one of the City's most anticipated traditions. Spectators will be watching closely to see how the distinguished duo performs on race day.
Alongside this historic entry, organisers are introducing several new prize categories for 2025:
Grand Prize – awarded to the overall race winners
Fastest Team – recognising the quickest team on the day
Best Fancy Dress – celebrating the most creative and entertaining costume
With a landmark mayoral debut and new awards up for grabs, this year’s Coopers’ Cask Race promises to be one of the most memorable yet.
